Membership Committee Chair: Tomika McDonald.
The Membership Committee shall be responsible for recruiting new members, maintaining membership records and developing programs for recruitment drives. The Membership committee will accept, review and approve all membership activities.
Communications Committee Chair: Kim Brown.
The Communications Committee has the primary responsibility over the Corporation's internal and external communications and promoting events. The Communications Committee will publish a quarterly newsletter and maintain the Corporation's website.
Corporate Partner Relations Chair: Jon C. Walls.
The Corporate Fund Development Committee shall be responsible for the fundraising activities for the Corporation both locally and nationally. These activities include meeting the National Organization objectives for corporate fundraising and maintaining strong partnership with the local organizations.
Education Committee Co-Chairs: Open Positions
The Education Committee shall have the responsibilities for administering the scholarship award process, provide information and advisement to prospective and current MBA students and promote educational excellence at all levels.
Programs & Professional Development Chair: Open Position.
The Programs & Professional Development Committee shall have responsibility for providing resources for members' professional development. These resources include seminars, posting employment opportunities and continuing education classes.
Inland Empire Regional Coordinator: Kerry Neal.
The Inland Empire Regional Coordinator corodinates profesional development events, mixers and other outreach activities for the LA Chapter of the National Black MBA Association to increased membership and chapter exposure to advance the mission of the organization.Orange County Reigional Coordinator: Linda Whiteman.
The Orange County Regional Coordinator corodinates profesional development events, mixers and other outreach activities for the LA Chapter of the National Black MBA Association to increased membership and chapter exposure to advance the mission of the organization.
Economic Development Committee: Marcus Farrow.
The purpose of the Economic Development Committee is to utilize the skills and expertise of the National Organization to facilitate the growth and development of the Los Angeles African American community in the areas of business and economic development.
Social/Cultural Committee Chair: Open Positions
The Social/Cultural Committee assumesthe responsibility of planning social activities for the Corporation, with at least two of these activities designed to generate a return on investment.
Cultural & Community Committee Chair: Chi Njoku.
The Cultural & Community Committee- The purpose of this committee is to utilize the skills and expertise of the LABMBA to promote the growth and development of the greater Los Angeles African American community through community service with Chapter members and partners.
International Relations & Global Affairs Committee: Loren House.
The Mission of the International Relations & Global Affairs Committee is to provide education/resources to supplement the Los Angeles Chapter’s existing committees from a Global perspective to help stimulate the intellectual and economic growth of the black community.
Leaders of Tomorrow Chair: Britta Wilson.
The Leaders of Tomorrow Committee shall have the responsibility for providing a mentoring program for high school students with a grade point average between C- and C+. Responsibilities include the recruitment of local LA Chapter mentors who are available to tutor, lead workshops, chaperone students on college tours and to the NBMBAA Annual Conference, and administer scholarship programs for college-bound students. In addition, this committee is responsible for initiating and maintaining the Leaders of Tomorrow®- Conference Essay Scholarship.
Marketing Chair: Anasia Hairston.
The Marketing Committee is in charge of developing marketing material for events as well as provide PR representation for the chapter.
