California lost over 78,000 jobs in December as employers sliced payrolls to deal with the slowing economy. The state's unemployment rate was 5.9 % a year ago. It now stands at 9.3% which is the highest in 15 years.

Welcome to our chapter and our spring edition newsletter, as we embrace GOING GREEN, with our newsletters and several communications being distributed electronically. As a professional membership organization of Black graduates with MBAs, various advance degrees and entrepreneurs, its our mission to increase the number, and diversity of successful Blacks in the business community as we continue to lead in the creation of economic and intellectual wealth for Blacks!
