June 31, 2010-National Black MBA Association, Inc. Los Angeles Chapter is proud to host the 32nd Annual National Black MBA Association Convention and Exposition September 21 -25, 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
As the nation’s largest development, recruiting and networking event for Black professionals, the event will feature more than 12,000 professionals, the country’s largest career fair with 200-300 employers and business schools, a scholarship competition, professional development for entrepreneurs, an award ceremony, seminars for undergraduate students, industry experts, recruiters, community leaders and a host of other activities.
“Participating in the Conference and taking advantage of all of the offerings – from the Career Fair to the Entrepreneurial and Leadership Institutes to our Career Success Network – is one significant way you can improve your personal competitive advantage and ensure that you stay nimble and adaptable in our continually evolving world, said Bill Wells Chairman of the National Black MBA Association Board.
Wells said the ever-changing environment in which we live inspired the theme for the conference “BLINK – the speed of change.” “Today’s world is volatile, changing day to day, minute to minute. In order to maintain your competitive advantage, stay ahead of the game and continue progressing towards your personal and professional goals – you must be able to adapt in the Blink of an eye,” said Wells.
The Honorary Co-Chairs for the conference are Magic Johnson, Janice Howroyd-Bryant (Owner/CEO ACT-1 Employment Agency), and Debra Langford, VP, NBC-Universal.

The National Black MBA Association Los Angeles Chapter (NBMBAALA) has a long, rich and storied history. As one of the four original chapters, NBMBAALA was founded in 1974 by several visionary individuals, with some also being founding members of the National organization and it was incorporated under the laws of California in 1998. The Chapter has successfully hosted the National Conference four times, in 1980, 1990, 1999 and 2005.
