LEADERS OF TOMORROW

Mentor a promising youth and pass along your knowledge to the next generation of professionals through our Leaders of Tomorrow® program.

For over a decade, this successful program has provided a positive influence to high school students with a grade point average between C- and C+, who have exhibited leadership potential, but require additional motivational factors in their lives to achieve excellence.

Local mentoring opportunities are available through the NBMBAA's chapters, which include leading workshops, chaperoning students to the NBMBAA Annual Conference, and administering scholarship programs for college bound students.

Leaders of Tomorrow®- Conference Essay Scholarship -Sponsored by Mars, Inc. In addition to fulfilling the local chapter guidelines of active participation in monthly mentoring workshops/ sessions, and demonstrating leadership skills throughout the year each student is required to write a 500 word essay as part of their conference application. The essay topics are focused on how historically events and people from the local conference city have impacted the economic and intellectual wealth for the African-American community. Ten (10) scholarships at $1,000.00 each are awarded to students attending the annual conference.

The Leaders of Tomorrow® Senior Scholarship Program, sponsored by AXA Foundation, will provide (5) $2,000.00 scholarships to selected Leaders of Tomorrow® students in local chapter programs and are seniors in high school via an essay competition. The essay focuses on the students’ leadership skill, community service and involvement in the Leaders of Tomorrow® program.
