Jon C. Walls is a senior finance and operations executive possessing 25 years of experience with Fortune 500 companies and small to mid-sized businesses. His industry expertise includes financial services, risk management and private equity. Mr. Walls began his career on Wall Street where he rose to a Senior Vice President of Investment Banking where, over an 8 year career, he developed his deep expertise in delivering M&A, equity and fixed income solutions to sophisticated bank, specialty finance and insurance company clients. He is currently Principal of a private equity backed insurance agency acquire in 2010. In addition, Mr. Walls designed and, since 2007, has been the instructor for the S&P Global Market Intelligence’s Fundamentals of Bank Valuation, a 2 day seminar offered throughout the country.

Mr. Walls is an active member of the National Black MBA Association and, before being elected President of the Los Angeles Chapter, he served as the Corporate Partner Relations Chairperson for two terms followed by two terms as Treasurer. Mr. Walls holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a JD from Harvard Law School (Cum Laude) and a BA from Yale University. He is a licensed California Fire and Casualty Broker-Agent as well as a member of the New York State Bar.

The Los Angeles Chapter of the National Black MBA Association® was incorporated in 1979. It is one of the six original chapters in the national organization and is proud to be one of the largest in the country. Our Chapter’s history in the organization is rich, including ours standing as the only chapter to host the NBMBAA® National Conference five times (1980, 1990, 1999, 2005, 2010).
