Communications
Leads the marketing, PR, and social media strategies for the Chapter, including but not limited to establishing and maintaining “brand recognition” and ensuring consistent positive image to the public. Responsible for consistently maintaining the website, newsletter, and social media presence. Ideal for advertising specialists, marketers, creative designers, digital strategists, public relations, social media managers, experiential marketing, researchers, and brand ambassadors, but not required.
Community Relations
Encourages members and corporate partners to strengthen our relationships with the communities we serve through public service. Improve the Chapter’s image as a community partner committed to providing career development assistance.
Corporate PartnerSHIPS
Identifies and secures corporate and other strategic partners and works toward meeting their needs in the area of recruitment, membership engagement, community involvement, mentoring, and branding. The committee also collaborates with other committees leading efforts to provide funding for events, scholarships, local programs, the annual conference, and other opportunities.
Economic Development & Entrepreneurship
Develops programs to assist the local African American community with business education and training, and provides technical assistance to businesses to build capacity. The committee seeks to develop innovative ways to link local entrepreneurs with corporate partners and other relevant groups. The committee supports established local organizations in promoting economic reinvestment initiatives.
FINANCE & grants
Develops strategic financial management plan for the Chapter, including, investment strategy and growth targets for corporate partnerships, event sponsorships, fundraising, and grants.
This committee plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's financial landscape. This team is responsible for crafting a strategic financial management plan, encompassing investment strategies and growth targets for corporate partnerships, event sponsorships, fundraising, and grants. Additionally, the finance department meticulously handles tasks such as expense management, ensuring financial sustainability, and providing recurring reports to support informed decision-making.
This team also includes a subcommittee that is responsible for researching, securing, and managing grants, encompassing both pre-award and post-award activities. From identifying potential funding sources and disseminating information to facilitating contract execution and assisting with grant implementation, the committee ensures the organization's access to essential funding and maximizes the impact of grant-funded projects.

The LOT® Program is a comprehensive programmatic approach for providing leadership development to high school students. The program is driven by mentoring across four developmental areas: Leadership, Financial Literacy, College Preparation, and Career Preparation. The program offers participants resources, knowledge, and opportunities in the way of mentoring relationships, scholarships, and internships
Membership
Develops strategies to increase and maintain the LA Chapter of the National Black MBA Association’s membership. Engages our members to participate in LA Chapter of the National Black MBA Association activities and communicates our vision to become the premier organization for economic, social, and political empowerment in Southern California.
Programs
Assists all committees with event implementation to improve the Chapter’s level of service and quality in delivering programs. Centralize the event/program logistics. Ensures that a positive and professional image is presented at all events.
REGIONS - INLAND EMPIRE, ORANGE COUNTY, SAN DIEGO, & VENTURA
Increase awareness and represent the organization within a specific Southern California region, while developing and executing events and programming, building and fostering strategic partnerships, supporting members, and/or fundraising.
Student Affairs
Build relationships with education partners via professional development programs with corporate partners. Increase student engagement. Manage all scholarship activities.
talent acquisitions
Connects members with potential employers and job opportunities, provides career guidance and development, and mentoring and networking channels through informative programs and services. Seeks to brand the Chapter as the top business organization/channel for identifying qualified Black candidates for roles at all levels and the leader in providing career connections and networks to business professionals.
